The following were arrested recently:

• Guy House, 41, Lexington, theft by unlawful taking (auto, $500 or more but less than $10,000) and theft by unlawful taking (less than $500).

• Wilgus Johnson, 39, Lexington Road, public intoxication by a controlled substance (excludes alcohol), first-degree controlled substance possession (methamphetamine), resisting arrest and first-degree controlled substance possession (drug unspecified).

• James Assel, 37, Turpin Drive, Richmond, first-degree controlled substance possession (methamphetamine), marijuana possession and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.

• Brandon Walters, 25, Turpin Drive, Richmond, first-degree controlled substance possession (methamphetamine) and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.

• Thomas Morrison, 28, Fairlane Drive, Richmond, second offense first-degree controlled substance possession (methamphetamine), buying/possessing drug paraphernalia and parole violation.

• Treva Johnson, 58, Lexington Road, Richmond, first-degree controlled substance possession (drug unspecified).

• Moss Matthews, 44, Northgate Drive, Richmond, first-degree controlled substance possession (methamphetamine), first-degree controlled substance possession (heroin) and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.

• Simone Ellington, 31, South Fairview Street, Richmond, first-degree controlled substance possession (heroin) and two charges of failure to appear.
