First Baptist Church on the Eastern Bypass will be bringing a unique kind of Christmas play to the community with "Clem's Carol," a new, light hearted look at two angels from the "Office of Heavenly Proclamations" as they prepare for the arrival of the Newborn King.

Tim Wilson, First Baptist Church minister of music, said members of the church wrote the play. Wilson added he got the idea from an old "Dad joke." He enlisted the help of Hal Blythe from EKU to help write it.

"Singing, dancing, drama and great holiday music will warm your hearts as you prepare for this Christmas season," Wilson said of the show.

The production will feature both adults and children. The cast totals about 100.

Clem's Carol will be performed Dec. 9 at 9:30 and 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, located at 425 Eastern Bypass in Richmond. Seating is open and no tickets are required. For more information, call 859-623-4028.
