The Fall/Spring Contingency Planning Task Force sent the campus community an email on Sept. 10 announcing the spring semester schedule.
“Although Fall has barely begun, it will be time to plan for Spring classes very soon. To facilitate planning and provide certainty, the President’s Council has approved a modified Spring calendar,” the task force wrote.
Spring break will be eliminated and five one-day holidays have been added to the calendar, ensuring that staff have the same amount of paid leave as before and that students have time off.
The spring semester will begin on Jan. 19 and classes will end on May 7.
“This calendar should help keep us healthy by limiting travel. Our goal is to take every possible measure to hold classes on campus and allow faculty, staff, and students to interact in person while complying with all local, state, and federal guidelines,” the task force wrote.
