The new Eastern Kentucky Mail Services Center will open on Feb. 24 in the Powell Building beside Starbucks.

This will change how receiving and sending mail works on campus. Previously, there were USPS drop off boxes outside Whitlock for students to send mail and packages and other forms of mail would be delivered to students’ dorms.

This changes with the new facility in Powell as it will be a fully functioning post office, complete with UPS Next Day Air shipping and USPS mail.

Students will also stop receiving mail at their dorms on March 23. This is when the Mail Services Center will deploy their Intelligence Locker Services, which will notify students when they have mail via email. The email will include which locker the mail is located in and the passcode to open it.

This means students’ mailing addresses on campus will change to:

Student Name

Eastern Kentucky University

Mail Services, Powell Building

225 Park Drive

Richmond, KY 40475

The business hours of the Mail Services Center will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but mail and packages delivered to the Intelligent Lockers can be picked up any time Powell is open.
