The film and techniques concentration of the Department of Communication will host a free showing of “Rust Creek,” a full-length feature film from Kentucky filmmaker Stu Pollard on April 8 at 2:30 p.m. in the Grise Room of Combs.

“Rust Creek” was filmed in Kentucky and features a female leading character, played by Hermione Corfield (Star Wars Episode VIII-The Last Jedi). The film also boasts a mostly-female crew, including writer Julie Lipson, director Jen McGowen and photographer Michelle Lawler. It recently received a ReFrame Stamp, a mark of recognition for standout gender-balanced films.

After the showing, Pollard will take and answer the audience’s questions.
