Chase Dillon

An Eastern Kentucky University student was booked on numerous charges by the Richmond Police Department (RPD) at 5:12 a.m on Sept. 19. The arrest occurred on the 400 block of Oak Street.

EKU student Chase Dillon was booked at Madison County Detention Center on charges including second-degree rape, second-degree possession of a forged instrument, second-degree possible controlled substance, trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

According to the arrest citation, a juvenile reported a sexual assault to RPD after visiting Baptist Health Hospital at 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 18. According to the uniform citation report, the juvenile reported that on Sept. 17, she attended a party on Oak Street. She told officers she and Dillon had sexual relations in the past but that she “texted him at approximately (8:13 p.m.) prior to arriving at the party advising that she did not want to engage in any sexual activity with him that evening, to which he acknowledged.”

The juvenile stated that at 10 p.m., she arrived at Dillon’s residence before “she went to several residences on Oak Street that evening.” The juvenile told officers she consumed alcohol throughout the course of the night, and at approximately 1:30 a.m on Sept. 18, she returned to Dillon’s place of residence.

According to the citation, the juvenile informed Dillon she was intoxicated and proceeded to make her way to his room, where she changed into a large shirt and underwear and fell asleep. When she awoke the next morning, her underwear had been removed and Dillon was in the bed beside her nude. She also stated that there was a used condom on the floor beside the bed.

The juvenile reported to police that Dillon told her he had had sex with her. The juvenile reported that when she said to Dillon that “you knew I was black out (drunk),” Dillon replied “yeah, but you wouldn’t shut the f— up.”

The juvenile then informed officers that Dillon took her home, during which time they did not talk. Upon arriving at her residence, the juvenile woke her roommate and informed her, “(Dillon) had sex with with me while I was blacked out.”

According to the citation, a search warrant for Dillon’s residence and a sexual assault kit were both granted. Three fake identification cards, three vials of testosterone, 3.5 ounces of marijuana, two packs of 500 milligrams of marijuana gummies, a digital scale and other related paraphernalia were found in Dillon’s residence. Officers also found a condom box alongside a used condom.

According to Dillon's Instagram account, he is a member of the EKU Kappa Sigma fraternity. Shawn Dowiak, EKU director of fraternity and sorority life, declined to comment. EKU’s Director of Athletics Communications Rixon Lane said Dillon is a former member of the EKU coed cheer team and left the team two weeks ago.
