EKU Project Manager, Steven Frazier, passes away

Steven Frazier, 48, husband of Deanna Frazier, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Baptist Health-Richmond. Steven served as project manager at EKU.

Steven Frazier, Eastern Kentucky University Project Manager and husband of District 81 Representative Deanna Frazier, passed away unexpectedly on July 31.

EKU Interim President David McFaddin said that Steven Frazier was the Project Manager M.E.P. of Capital Construction at EKU and was a master plumber with his family at James Anderson & Son.

Steven Frazier also served as a deacon at Unity Baptist Church in Richmond.

“He loved spending time with his family and friends. Steven was an amazing man. His unwavering faith and love for family and friends is a legacy we should all strive to honor,” McFaddin said in an email.

He leaves behind his wife, Rep. Deanna Frazier and two sons, Jacob and John, his parents and other family members.

“Please keep Steven’s wife, his children, his family and many friends in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this extremely difficult time,” McFaddin said.

Steven Frazier was 48-years-old.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 3 at 5 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church in Richmond. Funeral services will be conducted at Unity Baptist Church on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 11 a.m.
