In honor of a new semester, the Eastern Progress asked students to tell us about how they are preparing for the spring semester as some classes continue in-person and some move online due to the pandemic. Here's what they told us.

Eastern Speaks Out: How are you preparing to tackle the spring semester?

Gracie Nash, junior pre-communication disorders major

“This semester, my goal is to have a better work/life balance. I have dedicated times throughout the week for schoolwork and time for myself so I don’t feel too overwhelmed. I am also continuing to wear my mask and social distance on and off campus! It’s difficult to stay positive during these times, but I’m hopeful we will get through this pandemic together!”

“This spring, I am choosing gratitude. I’ll be beginning with thanks for all of the opportunities Eastern has given me, cherishing my health, and appreciating the community I live in. From this, I hope to unite my passion and purpose through learning. I wish all the best to my fellow Colonels— practice self-compassion, be patient, and trust in all the good that is to come.”
