Eastern Kentucky University announced Aug. 23 that active-duty service members will be eligible for “Military Reduced Tuition,” a substantial tuition decrease, effective immediately.

According to an EKU press release, “active duty service members on federal orders for at least 180 days are eligible for EKU’s Military Reduced Tuition, which is $250 per credit hour for undergraduate courses and $325 per credit hour for graduate courses.”

Service members can still qualify for federal financial aid and cover remaining balances with the GI Bill benefits.

In the news release Wallace said that with this new decrease, education is made possible no matter where the active-duty members are, emphasizing the EKU Online program, according to the Aug. 23 press release.
