Ice Hockey team faces U of L this weekend
The Colonel's Ice Hockey team will match-up against Louisville at midnight Friday at the Lexington Ice Center. Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased in advance at the Fitness and Wellness Center. Fundraiser to benefit animals in need
Rockcastle's Animals In Need or R.A.I.N. is sponsoring a fundraiser from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Acton Folk Center in Berea to help animals in need. The Reel World String Band will provide music. There will also be a slide show promoting dogs that are up for adoption. A donation of $10 is requested and tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. A lunch plate will cost $5. To drop off a donation or to purchase a ticket visit Case Annex 168. Student Life presents CL Collective
Student Life presents a "Live & Surrendered" concert featuring CL Collective (formerly The City Limits) at 9 p.m. on Nov. 11 in the SSB Auditorium. The concert is free and will be hosted by national recording artist Jason Clayborn.Special guest Nine Ball will open at 6 p.m. with the concert's main event at 9 p.m. CL Collective will perform songs from its debut album, as well as music from its forthcoming album, "The White Flag." CL Collective will be recording the "Live & Surrendered" concert performance on DVD. Tickets are on sale now for International Banquet
Tickets for the 24th Annual International Banquet are on sale now and can be purchased in the International Office, located in Case Annex 181, or in the Multicultural Center, in Powell 110. The Banquet will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, in Keen Johnson Ballroom. No tickets will be sold at the door. For more information, contact Beth Blanchard at 622-1478.

Alternative Spring Break trip planned
Students can sign-up now for the Alternative Spring Break trip, which will be to Costa Rica on March 8. Participants will get the opportunity to work with sea turtles. McLurkin to speak at next Chautauqua Lecture
James McLurkin, a well-known robotics engineer, will discuss "The End of the World and Other Misconceptions: The Truth about Robotics," at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Clark Auditorium of the Wallace Building. It will be the last lecture of the semester, with Frank Warren, the creator of Post Secret, coming to campus on Jan. 21, 2010. For more information, contact Bruce MacLaren at 622-1503.

Campus Rec. offers massage therapy
EKU Campus Recreation makes massages available every week at the Fitness and Wellness Center. Tami Sernulka, a nationally certified massage therapist, is available by appointment Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sessions range from 30 to 60 minutes and cost between $20 and $30. Dance Theatre tickets on sale now
Eastern's Dance Theatre will present their fall concert on Nov. 18 through Nov. 21, scheduled nightly at 8 p.m., in the SSB Auditorium. Tickets for the concert are $5 for students and $10 for the public. Reservations can be made Monday through Friday by calling the Alumni House at 622-1264.
