Junior Patric Sundlof was the highlight of Eastern’s men’s golf season opener Feb. 10 and 11 at the Mid-American Match Play. The tournament took place in sunny Florida and hosted by Ball State University, Sundlof won all three of his matches while the team came in fourth place.Read More
When most people think of golf, the first thing that pops into their mind is old white men that are out of shape. Golf is like the equivalent of being on the beach. Long beautiful fields of green grass with a subtle breeze and the only thing you can hear is nature. It is a stress free zone with nothing to worry about except getting to the hole.
Why do some people classify golf as a recreational activity and not a sport? Maybe because it doesn’t involve physical contact and it’s not your typical team sport. Golf teams can be found in high school, college and in tournaments and leagues.
Golf just happens to be one of the only sports you can keep playing into old age. When played, football, baseball, basketball, all your popular sports, teaches kids teamwork, core values and life skills. Golf does the very same thing.Read More
