A Farmer’s Market will occur Thursday, September 14, in Irvine McDowell Park beginning at 10 a.m.

Being a collection of local farmers, the market is home to many fresh, organic products. Visitors can find jars of organic jelly and preservatives to go on organic bread. Some of the vendors have a variety of vegetables, such as fresh green beans and succulent snow peas. Others are approaching the time for various types of squash and pumpkins to be sold, although there might not be much at this week’s venue.

The prices are reasonable – a jar of fresh, organic preservatives, will be about $5; while purchasing a pound of fresh tomatoes might be $6. All vendors have electronic scales which are tested every week. Most vendors are also willing to bargain with customers. However, it’s suggested to purchase products at the full price.
