Recreation department hosts four square tournament

The department of Recreation and Park Administration is gearing up to host its third annual four-square tournament at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7 at the Fitness and Wellness Center.

The tournament is free, however, the department asks that participants wear tennis shoes.

ColonelSmart: Game of Thrones discussion

As part of a larger series offered through the ColonelSmart programs at EKU Libraries, a discussion will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 in the Noel Studio Discovery Classroom. The discussion will involve the television show Game of Thrones and who participants think is Jon Snow’s father.

In addition to this program, at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 in Library 204D will be a discussion of how to better utilize Google in web searches.

Student Alumni Ambassadors formal recruitment begins

Eastern’s Student Alumni Ambassadors are beginning formal recruitment at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11 and 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 inside the Keen Johnson Ballroom.

If students are interested in applying to be a part of SAA, they must attend one of the formal sessions. SAA is responsible for sponsoring events that improve alumni relations at Eastern. They also provide campus tours and work for Spotlight Day events to promote Eastern.

Student Activities Council shows The Butler

As a continuation of the SAC Movie Night, the Weekender’s Committee will be showing Lee Daniels’ The Butler at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7 inside O’Donnell Hall in the Whitlock Building.

Thinking about the future

The Office of Student Life is hosting a leadership workshop about dreaming and preparing for the future at 4 p.m until 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12. Women’s rugby practice begins

Eastern’s women’s club rugby team will start practicing from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10 at the Intramural Fields.
