Team sets school record for most season wins

The Colonels achieved school history Thursday Feb. 28 night in Cookeville, Tenn. against Tennessee Tech University after a 69-54 win.  This Colonel basketball team has won more games this season than any other team Eastern has ever put on the court.

The game started even, but a strong run in the second half of the game pushed the Colonels in front of Tennessee Tech.

Senior Mike DiNunno capped the six-minute run with a lay up around the 14-minute mark.

Sophomore Corey Walden led Eastern with 18 points and Marcus Lewis contributed 10 points in 27 minutes of action.

Junior Orlando Williams returned to the lineup after missing a significant amount of time this season after an MCL injury.  Williams played nine minutes and missed a 3-pointer, which was his only shot.
