Dakota Williams was charged with public intoxication after EKU Police received a complaint about an intoxicated person on the fourth floor of Martin Hall. Williams failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Madison County Detention Center for his own safety.

Krista Newton was charged with alcohol intoxication after EKU police received a complaint about an intoxicated person walking around Martin Hall. The arresting officer said Newton was uncooperative and failed field sobriety tests. She was taken to the Madison County Detention Center for her own safety.  

March 1

After responding to a possible fight near McGregor Service Drive, Shawn Philpot and Austin Lunsford were taken into police custody. Philpot was charged with alcohol intoxication and taken to the Madison County Detention Center for his own safety. Lunsford had an active warrant out for his arrest and was taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

March 2

Thomas French was charged with drunken driving near the exit of the Lancaster Lot. An Eastern police officer found French standing outside of his truck as it hung over the concrete retaining wall. French’s truck had knocked down a chain link fence and hit a parked car. French failed field sobriety tests and alcohol was found inside of the vehicle. He was taken to the Madison County Detention Center. Damage to the fence was estimated at $500.

March 3

Demetrius Moorer was charged with alcohol intoxication after a resident assistant reported a disturbance after McGregor Hall. Moorer failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Madison County Detention Center for his own safety.

March 5

David Faulkner cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after EKU Police were dispatched to the fifth floor McGregor Hall in response to a strong odor of marijuana. The responding officer found marijuana residue and paraphernalia in Faulkner’s dorm room.
