Feb. 11

Eastern student Jinfeng Che was arrested for reckless driving, driving without a license, disregarding a traffic light and disregarding a stop sign. At approximately 8:45 p.m., Che ran the stoplight at Kit Carson and Jon Hanlon Drives. The arresting officer said the car Che was driving sped up with emergency lights activated, running another light at Park Drive. Che ran a stop sign at Daniel Boone Drive and shortly after the driver lost control, causing the car to spin and collide with a chain fence. Che was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and was taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

The Residence Hall Coordinator (RHC) at Martin Hall reported an Xbox 360 and a game were stolen from a room used for storage. The RHC said the room was normally locked but sometimes does not shut properly and lock. He said the screen on one of the windows was cut and appeared to be used to get the stolen items out of the room. The value for the Xbox 360 and game is $259 and the damage to the screen door was $30.

Feb. 13

A Residential Assistant at Case Hall reported a male and female student had gotten into an altercation. A male student was attempting to retrieve items from the female student when she slapped him to prevent him from breaking her things. The male student then spit in the female student’s face and poured Pepsi in her hair. Neither party chose to press charges and the case is closed.

Feb. 14

Robert Claypool was arrested for disregarding a traffic sign, driving on a suspended license and third degree criminal trespassing. Claypool turned into the Martin Lot where a “Do Not Enter” sign is posted. Claypool has been warned not to be on campus by Eastern Police and university officials. He was arrested and taken to the Madison County Detention Center.
