Over 2,000 students hit the polls Tuesday to vote in the Student Government Association elections – nearly 50 percent more than last year.Several SGA members could not remember a time when more students voted than this year. Progress records rank this year’s turnout of 2,341 votes the hightest in at least five years.

Lance Melching and Colmon Elridge won the race for president/executive vice president with 959 votes.

Lindsey Baker won the race for Student Activities Council vice president with 1,147 votes.

Jeff Conner won the race for Residence Life Council vice president with 412 votes.
